National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC)
focuses on the first generation entrepreneurs
with emphasis on Equipment Leasing and Hire
Purchase. NSIC also assists SSIs in marketing
their products (including exports) to Government
departments and other agencies. It arranges
critical raw materials and components at competitive
cost. It also arranges training in technical
trades both traditional and high-tech; provides
common facility support through its technology
centres located at different parts of the
country, and sensitizes entrepreneurs to technology
issues through technology missions abroad.
Its objective is to progressively move towards
modernization, upgradation of technology,
quality consciousness, strengthening linkages
with large and medium scale enterprises including
exports to assist the SSI to market its products
and services. NSIC over a period of time has
