GRADUATESHIP EXAMINATION IN FOUNDRY TECHNOLOGY
(GRAD IIF ) RECOGNISED BY GOVT. OF INDIA & REPUTED
FOUNDRIES FOR EMPLOYMENT TO SUPERIOR POSTS


Schedule of Examination: September 10th to 14th, 2007 for sec.'A', 'B' &     Module I

Eligibility:
Minimum qualification 10 + 2 in Science or its equivalent with               Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:
a. 2 years practical experience of working in a Foundry.

b. Engineering Graduates from the Metallurgical, Mechanical, Production and             Manufacturing fields where Foundry is a subject are not required to have any         practical experience.

c. Candidates with practical experience of less than 2 years or with no                     experience at all, may also take the examination provided :

1. They have acquired six months practical experience before appearing for papers in Sec.'B'

2. Practical experience of 2 years or training in an approved foundry or related organisation before they are conferred with the final degree by the institute is also a mandatory pre-requisite.

Registration: Candidates need to send Rs. 200/- by Demand Draft in favour of "THE INSTITUTE OF INDIAN FOUNDRYMEN" payable at Kolkata towards Registration Fee and cost of Registration Form and Prospectus.

Syllabus & Exemption: Details are mentioned in the Prospectus.

Examination Centres: Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. Visakhapatnam.
